Dr. Harriet G. Stallings, O.D.
Dr. Harriet G. Stallings, O.D., holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California, Irvine. She graduated with honors in 1977. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside. Dr. Stallings served as a cancer research biochemist for the internationally known Baylor School of Medicine in Houston, Texas. She is the co-author of many publications on breast cancer treatment. In 1986 she received her Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Houston in Texas graduating with honors in the top 5% of her class. She has been in practice for over 25 years. Her clinical awards include the Bausch and Lomb most outstanding clinician in contact lenses and Optometrist of the Year, Fountain Valley, 1994. Dr. Stallings has been a member of the California Optometric Association and American Optometric Association.
Dr. Stallings has gained extensive clinical experience in her 25 years of practice. She heads her own family practice in Fountain Valley and is on staff with a prominent local eye surgeon. She is well versed in the medical management of ocular disease and the pre and post operative care of lasik and cataract patients. Her vision care specialties include contact lens fitting, pediatric and adult eye examinations and surgical consultation and co-management.
Dr. Stallings has four children and currently lives with her husband and their youngest son in Cypress, CA. He is attending Cal State University Long Beach. Their daughter obtained a Master’s degree this year and their eldest son his Bachelor’s degree. Their second oldest son is also enrolled in college and works full time. Dr. Stallings is a vocalist and enjoys singing and her Latin Dance Aerobics class “ZUMBA!” One of her proudest moments was finishing the Honolulu marathon which she walked for the Arthritis Foundation. Dr. Gordon K. Ota, O.D.
Dr. Gordon K. Ota, O.D. is a Southern California native and graduate of the University of California at Irvine, School of Biological Sciences, where he was awarded cum laude status. While at UCI, his research work with Allergan Pharmaceuticals helped launch the advent of several groundbreaking anti-glaucoma medications. He obtained his Doctorate of Optometry degree from the University of California in Berkeley and was an honors graduate in both the doctoral program as well as from the research department of Physiological Optics.
Dr. Ota has extensive clinical experience in most aspects of vision care including contact lens fittings and technology, refractive surgery, and medical management of ocular disease. He gained invaluable experience in medical eye care while on staff with several prominent area Ophthalmology clinics and has a passion for keeping on the “cutting edge” of Optometric Science and Technology. In practice in Fountain Valley since 1984, Dr. Ota is a frequent guest lecturer to nursing and hospital based organizations and also lends his support and skills to overseas medical missions groups. He has been a long-time member of the American Optometric and California Optometric Associations.
Dr Ota resides in Orange County with his wonderful wife, Ann, and their three beautiful children. He stays actively involved with his church, community, and youth-based organizations having held a number of positions from coaching basketball to organizing non-profit events and fundraisers.
Above all, for over 25 years, Dr. Ota and Staff have always worked diligently to put the welfare and needs of their patients foremost… we just love to be of help!
Dr. Seiju E. Terada, O.D.
Dr. Seiju E. Terada, O.D. has been interested in the healthcare field, starting with his education in the public grade school system. His time spent volunteering in a medical center intensive care unit helped foster a desire to work with patients and to understand the importance of empathetic, patient-centered, quality care. He attended UCLA and graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in Biology. He then received his education from the University of California at Berkeley, School of Optometry where he attained his Doctorate of Optometry. He has gained recognition as a Fellow in the prestigious American Academy of Optometry, an organization dedicated to promoting the highest standards of optometric practice through clinical care, education and research.
Dr. Terada has worked for several years in private optometric practice. He has been a clinical associate of several excellent private ophthalmology practices that specialized in refractive surgeries, advanced cataract procedures and glaucoma. He also has been involved in a vision screening program, of public school age children, that emphasized the early intervention and treatment of vision problems. Dr. Terada currently practices in Fountain Valley and specializes in contact lens fittings, laser refractice procedures and the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and disorders.
Dr. Terada has been a member of the American Optometric Association, the California Optometric Association and has served on the board of the Asian American Optometric Society as President.
Dr. Terada is a native Californian and lives in Orange County with his wife Chris, who is also a practicing optometrist, and sons Gregory and Tyler. They enjoy camping, hiking, skiing and roller hockey. He is also involved in coaching youth basketball and baseball. He is bilingual, speaking fluent Japanese.
Dr. Kim-Nhat Le, O.D.
Dr. Kim-Nhat Le, O.D. received a Bachelors of Arts in Human Development from the University of California, San Diego, Revelle College in 2002. She attended the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago and graduated with clinical honors in 2007. While at ICO, she was actively involved in the Student Association and Contact Lens Society.
She is a Garden Grove native and pursued her professional career in Southern California with Eyexam of California as a managing optometrist shortly after graduation. As a managing doctor, she gained valuable experience in patient care and practice management. In late 2009, Dr. Le made a bold career decision and became an independent contracting optometrist in the Southern California area. This opportunity allowed her to work in a variety of optometric settings including private practice and ophthalmology settings. She practices full-scope Optometry with an emphasis in special contact lens fittings and binocular vision dysfunctions.
Dr. Le is a member of the Orange County Optometric Society, California Optometric Association, and American Optometric Association. She enjoys giving back to the community and serves as a team doctor on a regional mission trip to Los Angeles through the non-profit organization OneSight.
Outside of practicing optometry, Dr. Le is involved in her church community and women’s ministry. She enjoys baking, traveling, and has a passion for long distance marathon running. Look for her to add swimming and possibly a triathlon or two in the coming months!
Born and raised in Southern California, Dr. Noritake is one of the newest members to our team. After receiving a Bachelors of Science in General Biology at the University of California, San Diego, where she was a Regent Scholar, she continued her post-graduate career at the State University of New York College of Optometry in New York City. She graduated with her Doctorate of Optometry in 2016 and received the Johnson and Johnson Excellence Award in Clinical Contact Lenses Patient Care as well as The Pace Setter Award for Excellence in Primary Care. She is currently a member of the American Academy of Optometry as well as the American Optometric Association.
Alison E. Noritake, O.D.
Dr. Noritake is a full scope optometrist with an emphasis in ocular disease and specialty contact lenses. During her clinical education, she practiced in a large variety of clinical settings, allowing her to experience private practice and hospital-based optometry. Dr. Noritake is certified to prescribe therapeutic pharmaceutical agents and to treat and manage ocular disease, including glaucoma.
Despite loving her time in New York City, Dr. Noritake decided to return to California in order to be closer to her family. She enjoys baking, hiking, and traveling. She recently took up cycling, so be on the lookout for her if you are ever at the Rose Bowl!
